Windmore’s StageWorks program is a community theater group that provides experiences on the stage and behind the scenes for adults, teens, and children. Our theatrical and musical productions offered opportunities in performing, working backstage, designing and constructing sets, making costumes, applying make-up, and working with lights and sound equipment. The group produces theatrical performances, offers educational classes, and networks with local ensembles.

The popular shows frequently sell out to full houses.  Recent productions include You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Salt and Pepper, Vintage Hitchcock and after two sell-out shows,  a second run of the summer 2018 production of Southern Fried Funeral was scheduled.

The coordinator for StageWorks is Jessica Mahr. Jessy has a Master’s degree in Arts Management and a Bachelor’s degree in technical theater.  She was a founding board member of StageWorks when it was started in 2009.  She has worked as a theater teacher at the Madeira School and stage-managed professionally at a number of theaters in the DC area.  She has over 20 years’ experience in theater production.
